WHEREAS, Hoyt Copeland and W. L. Smith have served in the capacity of Aldermen for the past several years, and are now retiring from the City Council, and

WHEREAS, they have distinguished themselves by their conscientious attention to the duties of their office, having always in mind the best interest of the City,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, hereby expresses their admiration and appreciation to Hoyt Copeland and W. L. Smith for their conscientious work as fellow members of the City Council.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 17^th day of December, 1962.
