RESOLUTION TO INCREASE GARBAGE FEE TO $1.25

WHEREAS: A detailed study by the Sanitation and Finance committees of the Council has disclosed that the revenues from City Garbage and refuse collections are insufficient to meet the expenses of that department, and it is therefore apparent that efficient garbage operation cannot be continued at the present rate;
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that beginning January 1, 1963, the fee for collection of garbage, waste, trash and refuse for single family residences, flats, apartments or housekeeping units be established at $1.25 per month, payable in advance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the position of Sanitation Department Supervisor be established with duties to be as assigned by the City Council.
