RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT BETWEEN CLARK'S AND HEDGER'S SUBDIVISION AS REQUESTED BY RUBEN GRIFFIN

WHEREAS, the property owner has filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that a portion of utility easement between Clark's and Hedger's Subdivision be abandoned.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: That part of Tract C-2 from the Re-plat of Tract "C" of Clark's First Subdivision and Lot 5 of Hedger's Subdivision first Addition both being a part of the North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 33. Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 5 of Hedger's Subdivision, run thence, S0 23'W 10 feet, run thence S88 18'W 209.6 feet, urn thence N0 23'E 10 feet, run thence S88 18'W 104.0 feet, run thence N1 50'W 7.5 feet, run thence N88 18E 313.6 feet, run thence S1 42'E 7.5 feet, containing 0.10 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 19-3814 requires two weeks public notice before the above utility easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owner to vacate the above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on April 19, 1999 at 5:50 p.m. o'clock, in Municipal Court Chambers, located at 410 W. Washington Jonesboro, Arkansas.
