AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION OF ORDINANCE NO.1019 FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Section I of Ordinance No.1019 is hereby amended to read as follows: That from and after January 1, 1967 the salary of the City Clerk is hereby fixed at the sum of $2,400.00 per year.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro. Arkansas that eh burden of work and duties of the City Clerk have greatly increased and the cost of living has greatly increased, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and adoption.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 16^th January, 1967.
