AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 8-7 AND 8-8 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY ORD-75:2278 ON MARCH 3, 1975)

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
 
Section 1: that Section 8-7 (b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro is here by amended to read as follows:
 
"Section 8-7 (b) No system or installation of interior wiring in any commercial or industrial building which has been vacated shall be used again as an electrical conductor without re-inspection by the electrical inspector. The electrical inspector, for good cause shown, may issue a temporary permit in such cases until re-inspection can be made. A charge of $1.50 shall be made for each inspection of a commercial building, i.e. original and if work is necessary a final for only one charge; recalls for defective work shall be an additional charge of $1.50; new buildings and houses shall be $1.50 for each defect or re-inspection."
 
Section 2: That section 8-8 (C) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro is hereby amended to read as follows:
 
"Section 8-8 (c) The foregoing fees of Section 8-7 and 8-8 (a) include all inspections and re-inspections pursuant to this chapter.
 
Section 3: All Ordinances and/or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
 
Section 4: It is hereby found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
