AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Be Amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:
From Residential One (R-1) To Commercial Three (C-3) the following described property.
A part of the Northwest Quarter, Northeast Quarter, Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows: begin at the Southwest Corner said Northwest Quarter, Northeast Quarter, thence North 00° 46' East 453.0 feet; thence North 89° 52' East 118.0 feet to the point of beginning proper; thence North 00°46' East 43.0 feet; thence North 62° 45' East 234.5 feet; thence North 33° 20' East 38.9 feet; thence South 00° 46' West 182.3 feet; thence South 89° 52' West 228.0 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 0.54 acres, said description also being a part Of Lot 8 Rook Subdivision as recorded in book 123, page 132 of the office of the Circuit Court Clerk.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
