RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS NAMING THE NEW LAWSON RD. EXTENSION TO CHRISTIAN VALLEY DRIVE

Body

WHEREAS, the Lawson Road Extension has been completed and is open for public travel, it is necessary to the citizens and residents, the Fire Department and emergency response personnel for safe access of said street, and that such street be identified by name, and;

WHEREAS, a request for consideration to name said road extension to “Christian Valley Dr.” has been considered by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission and the Public Works Council Committee with a unanimous recommendation to the City Council to approve such street naming, in accordance with Title 9 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF

JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The street constructed between Highway 49 South, extending Southeasterly to the intersection of Valley View Drive, be and is hereby named “Christian Valley” Drive;

Section 2: The specific intention of this resolution is for the sole purpose of naming said street for identification purposes only,
