AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING INTO THE CITY OF JONESBSORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THE FOLLOWING LANDS, TO-WIT: ALL THAT PART OF THE NE ¼ SW ¼ OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST, LYING WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF NORTH RANGE 3 EAST, LYING WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF CHRISTIAN CREEK

WHEREAS, on the 9th day of August, 1961, the County Court of Craighead County Craighead County, Arkansas, made an order annexing certain lands herein described to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas pursuant to the petition of Trumann Homes, Inc., Jonesboro Homes, Inc., M & R Builders, Inc., Associated Realty Company, John E. Marcom, Mary R. Marcom, Robert E. Wood, Margaret A. Wood, M.L. King, Bobbie Sue King, Buell H. Crider, Hazel H. Crider, James Randolph Hood and Sarah J. Hood; and
WHEREAS, the signers of said petition constitutes all the owners of all of the lands in the affected area; and
WHEREAS, it would be to the best interest of the City of Jonesboro and the citizens thereof that said property be incorporated into and become a part of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; now, therefore.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That the following described lands, to-wit:
All that part of the NE ¼ SW ¼ of Section 24, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, lying west of the center line of Christian Creek, be, and the same are hereby annexed and incorporated into the City of Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.
Section 2: That said lands be, and they are, hereby zoned as “R” Residential.
