RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1008 KITCHEN STREET TO CONSTRUCT A DETENTION POND

WHEREAS, Resolution to authorize purchase of real property located at 1008 Kitchen Street for construction of detention pond as recommended by the City's consulting engineers: and
WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro believes to Carolyn Tollison at 1008 Kitchen Street should be purchased for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
1. The city council shall authorize the City of Jonesboro to purchase the property belonging to Carolyn Tollison located at 1008 Kitchen Street not to exceed appraised value of $48,000.00, with an additional $2000.00.
2. That said property should be purchased for an amount not to exceed $50,000.00, based on the appraised value together with the Mayor's recommendation.
3. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this purchase.
