RESOLUTION TO SET THE SALARY FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has made the position of City Attorney a full time job, by Ordinance amending Chapter 2.32 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Jonesboro to raise the salary of the City Attorney in keeping with said increase duties and responsibilities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. The salary for the City Attorney of the City of Jonesboro shall be the sum of $60,000 per year, effective September 1, 1996. It is further provided that no review of said salary be conducted until annual review for establishing the 1998 budget.
2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
