A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE CONTRUCTION OF AN ATV PARKING AREA AT CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains Craighead Forest Park located at 4910 S. Culberhouse Road.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received an Arkansas Recreational Trails grant from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department for improvements to the ATV parking area at Craighead Forest Park.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Recreational Trails grant is a 80/20 matching grant.
WHEREAS, the low bidder for the parking area construction is Alvin Crabtree with a low bid of $54,596.77.
WHEREAS, One hundred percent of the funds for the project shall come from line item Craighead Forest ATV Trail 07-000-0500-05 in the 2006 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $54,596.77 from Alvin Crabtree for construction of a parking area at Craighead Forest Park.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
