A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BIDS FOR AN URBAN FORESTRY STUDY

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received a grant from the Arkansas Forestry Council to conduct a tree inventory within the City of Jonesboro.

WHEREAS, the firm selected to conduct the tree inventory is Burditt with a bid of $20,000.

WHEREAS, funds for the project will come from the 2004 Arkansas Forestry Commission Grant, which is a 50-50 matching grant.

WHEREAS, funds are available in the 2004 City Budget in the Capital Improvement Fund, line item number 07-100-154-00.  

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $20,000 from Burditt for a tree inventory of the City of Jonesboro.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
