A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR MOSQUITO ABATEMENT WITH CLARKE ENVIRONMENTAL MOSQUITO MANAGEMENT, INC.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro advertised and received bids for mosquito abatement; and

WHEREAS, the lowest "full service" bid of $310,680.00 for 2007, $326,214.00 for 2008 and $342,524.76 for 2009 was submitted by Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the lowest "full service" bid by Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc. is recommended for acceptance by the Public Safety Committee of the Jonesboro City Council.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro accepts the lowest "full service" bid of $310,680.00 from Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc.

Section 2: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
