A RESOLUTION TO AMEND EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK REGARDING USE OF CITY VEHICLE POLICY

Body

WHEREAS, Current Employee Handbook addresses use of city vehicles, and prohibits taking of vehicle outside city limits by an employee. 

WHEREAS,  Current Jonesboro Police Department  policy and practice is different from current employee handbook policy and allows for take home vehicles.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: A paragraph specifically exempting the Jonesboro Police department regarding the take home prohibition will be added to current  employee handbook

Section 2:  The Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) will follow policy number 322.00 from the JPD Directive Manual outlining their procedure for take home vehicles.
