AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 1624 THE SAME ORDINANCE DEALING WITH THE WIDENING OF NETTLETON AVENUE FROM CARAWAY ROAD TO YOUNG STREET AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

NOW, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that Section 4 be amended as follows:
Section 1: That certain property owned by Baldwin Oil Company and Baldwin Petroleum Company, Inc. has been determined by the City of Jonesboro that said property will not need to be condemned for the widening of Nettleton Street Avenue from Caraway Road to Young Street.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby declared to be repealed.
Section 3: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that certain property condemned in Ordinance No. 1624 is no longer needed for the purposes stated in Ordinance No. 1624 and said property owned by Baldwin Petroleum Company, Inc. and Baldwin Oil Company will not need to be condemned and that therefore Ordinance No. 1624 should be amended to delete said property from condemnation, therefore, this ordinance is needed to preserve the public peace, health and safety, and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
