AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE #954, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, to be amended as recommended by the City Planning Commission, by the changes in zoning boundaries as follows: From Residential (R-2) to Commercial (C-3) the following described property:
Lot 20 of Block B of Higgins First Commercial Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, General location of this property is South and adjacent to Oliver Street West of the adjoining Kathleen Street.
The recommendation is made with the following stipulations:
(1) Dedication of street right-of-way on Kathleen and Oliver Streets.
(2) Streets should conform to the City Master plans concerning curbs and gutters.
Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the proper use of the tract of land described in this ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and there for, this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect form and after its passage and approval.
