ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR ELECTION EXPENSES CREATED BY THE ONE PERCENT (1%) SALES AND USE TAX ELECTION; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $7,662.30 dollars to come from Professional Services Administration, line item 1100-217; and

SECTION 2: Said funds shall be appropriated for election expenses created by the One Percent (1%) Sales and Use Tax election held July 18, 2000.

SECTION 3: This ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity for the City of Jonesboro is hereby declared to be an emergency and shall take affect from and after its passage and approval.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7^th day of August, 2000.
