A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT TO TERMINATE THE LEASE OF CITY PROPERTY, ACCEPT THE IMPROVEMENTS, AND ACCEPT DONATED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1620 STRAWFLOOR DRIVE

WHEREAS, the Craighead County Solid Waste Disposal Authority  (CCSWDA) desires to terminate its lease of land used to construct a transfer station at 1620 Strawfloor Drive and release the Improvements to the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the CCSWDA desires to donate certain real property at the Stawfloor Landfill site as described in the attached Deed of Gift; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to accept this lease termination and to accept the improvements to use in providing services for the citizens of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro accepts certain land as described in the attached Deed of Gift from the CCSWDA.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to effectuate this agreement.
