BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1:   That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning boundaries as follows:

From Commercial (C-3) to Residential (R-3) for property described as follows: Lot 42 of Wilson's 2^nd Addition to Jonesboro, Arkansas, also known as the West one-half of 1437 Huntington.  (Lewis Emerson)

SECTION 2:   It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, there- fore, an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17^th day of July, 1989.
