RESOLUTION TO RE-NAME NORTHSIDE PARK ON BRIDGE STREET TO DERAL BURROW MEMORIAL PARK

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO RENAME NORTHSIDE PARK, LOCATED AT THE END OF BRIDGE STREET AND NEXT TO NORTH SCHOOL TO BE CALLED THE DERAL BURROW MEMORIAL PARK.

WHEREAS the City of Jonesboro desires to duly honor the memory of a great contributor to Jonesboro youth and Jonesboro baseball by so naming the aforementioned park in his honor.

WHEREAS Deral Burrow made a tremendous contribution to the community by his deep involvement in youth and baseball for over twenty (20) years.

WHEREAS THE Parks and Recreation Commission desires to express its appreciation and gratitude for the positive impact that Mr. Burrow so willingly made to support area youth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent records of the City of Jonesboro.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 20^th day of August, 1990.
