CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - September 17, 2001
1. Call to order by Mayor at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call by City Clerk.
3. Approval of minutes from Special Called Meeting on August 24, 2001 and the regular meeting on September 4, 2001 as delivered.
4. City Attorney:
A. 3rd Reading - Ordinance to rezone property from Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3), located on the west side of Southwest Drive, south Harwood Drive and west of Oak Park Drive. (Ruben Griffin)
B. 1st Reading - Ordinance to vacate and abandon an unimproved East 0.16 acres of Peabody Drive Right of Way (Bob Gibson/Carlos Wood)
5. Resolution requesting a public hearing be set for the purpose of vacating a fifteen foot (15') utility easement along the south side of Lot 2 of Nettleton Baptist Church Replat of Lots 15 through 21 and Lots 30 through 36 of Pardew's Addition. (Nettleton Baptist Church)
6. Resolution to proceed with condemnation action on the following Jonesboro property locations:
· 711 Amberwood - Mark Rainwater, Owner
· 2920 South Caraway - Nick Anagnostopolulos, Owner
7. Resolution requesting City Water and Light to provide free utilities at 504 CWL Drive - Joe Mac Campbell Park.
8. Review the following appointment - Attorney, Dennis Zolper to the Civil Service Commission with an expiration date of April 2, 2007.
9. Resolution authorizing the City of Jonesboro to apply for an extension to continue operating the existing Class IV Landfill at the current permitted location, with an extension to the east.
10. New Business by the Mayor.
· Request by Mr. George Catlett to address the Jonesboro City Council regarding sewage problems on the Harold Kaffka property located on South Main.
11. New Business by Council.
