RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO LOOK INTO HIRING A CITY PLANNER AND TO PROCEED WITH JOB INTERVIEWS

WHEREAS, the Annexation Committee appointed by the City Council to study annexations and to propose guide lines for future annexations to the City has recommended to the City Council that the City employer a City Planner for the purpose of providing orderly growth, zoning and annexation for the City; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City that it consider the possibility of employing a planner.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that the Mayor is hereby authorized to look into the possibility of employing a City Planner and further that the Mayor is authorized to proceed with job interviews for such a planner.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 7^th day of March, 1988.
