A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING AN ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH MILLER-NEWELL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro works with City Water & Light to maintain sewer improvements in certain areas of Jonesboro, AR.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is proposing the construction of sewer improvements off of Greensboro and Patrick roads.
WHEREAS, the Finance and Grants committee recommended the approval of the engineering contract on May 20, 2004.
WHEREAS, One hundred percent of the funds for the project will come from the 2004 Community Development Block Grant Budget, fund line item 831-43, previously approved by the City Council and the Department of Housing & Urban Development.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the proposed engineering contract with Miller - Newell Engineers, Inc. for the construct ion of sewer improvements off of Greensboro and Patrick Roads.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Hubert Brodell and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
