A RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING CERTAIN INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas (the City) is authorized and empowered under the laws of the State of Arkansas, including particularly Title 14, Chapter 164, Subchapter 2 of the Arkansas Code of 1987 Annotated (the Act), to issue revenue bonds and expend the proceeds thereof to finance the cost of acquiring, constructing and equipping lands, buildings or facilities for securing or developing industry; and
WHEREAS, Haworth, Inc., a Michigan corporation (The Company) has requested that the City issue its industrial development revenue bonds under the Act to provide financing for industrial facilities located within the City; and
WHEREAS, applicable provisions of Arkansas law require that a public hearing be held on the issuance of the Bonds;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
1. A public hearing is hereby set to be held on October 19, 1998 at 5:00 p.m. before the City Council.
1. A notice of the public hearing shall be published once in Jonesboro Sun not less than ten days prior to the date of hearing.
2. The Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
