RESOLUTION APPROVING THE OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE TO PURCHASE IMPROVED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 515 W. WASHINGTON,  JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, the Building Committee and Finance Committee have met and recommend the Offer and Acceptance (Exhibit A) to purchase the building and property located at 515 W. Washington; AND

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3181, adopted December 6, 1999 has designated funds for such a purchase in Capital Improvements of $645,000 and in Parks of $300,000 for a total of $945,000.00 ; AND

WHEREAS, Arkansas State Statute 14-54-302 requires the execution of all contracts, conveyances, and leases of property to be preformed by the Mayor and City Clerk by majority vote of the City Council.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby instructed to enter into the Offer and Acceptance agreement and to execute all necessary documentation for the completion of the purchase.
