A RESOLUTION TO ALLOW THE VFW WOMEN’S AUXILIARY UNIT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE JONESBORO AREA ADOPT A HIGHWAY PROGRAM

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
Section 1: The VFW Women’s Auxiliary Unit, has volunteered to participate in the Jonesboro “Adopt A Highway” program. As such, they are hereby approved, and shall be officially responsible for the upkeep and adoption of the portion of roadway described as follows:
A PORTION OF AGGIE ROAD FROM STADIUM BOULEVARD TO THE OLD PARAGOULD HIGHWAY.
SECTION 2: It is further found that an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
RESOLVED and APPROVED this 5th day of August, 1991.
