BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

From (I-2) to (I-1) the following described property: (237 N. Gee St. Norman Leonard and Charles Johnson)

Part of the West Half Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 14 North, Range 3 East to Wit: from the intersection of the West line said West Half Northwest Quarter with the center of U.S. Highway 63-B, said point being approximately 1700 feet North of the Southwest Corner of the said West Half Northwest Quarter; run South 75°13' East 630.40 feet; then run South 01° 25' East 61.20 feet to the South right-of-way line of said highway and the point of beginning: then along said right-of-way and partway along a fence marking same, as follows: South 74° 53' East 83.90 feet; then run South 86°32' East 34.90 feet; then South 72°26' East 118.80 feet; then South 65°09' East 131.30 feet: then South 63°20' East 40.00 feet then South 56°19' East 77.60 feet; then leaving said right-of-way, run South 19°57' West along a fence 200.70 feet; then run South 89°17' West along a fence 371.10 feet; then run North 01°25' West along a fence 369.50 feet to the point of beginning, being 2.87 acres.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore an emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
