BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:    
 
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows:
 
A portion of the unimproved Section of N. Main street more particularly described as follows:  begin at the Northeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 14 North, Range 4 East; thence West along the Half Section Line 300'; thence South 495'; thence East 30' to the point of beginning proper; thence continue East 20' thence South 165'; thence West 20'; thence North 165' to the point of beginning.
 
SECTION 2: A copy of the Ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.
 
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above streets and portions of streets are not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above streets are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above street and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED the 18th day of July, 1994.
