BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

From Residential (R-1) To Commercial (C-3) the following described property.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

Part of the NW1/4 of Section 15, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, being more particularly described as follows; begin at the Northwest Corner of Section 15, Township 14 North, Range 3 East; thence S0°02'46" E on the Section Line 967.45' to the Southerly R/W Line of U.S. Highway No. 63, the point of beginning proper; thence with the meanderings with said R/W Line as follows; S64°04'55" E-240.18'; S51°02'29"E-201.61'; S59°34'40"E-1100.54';S58°41'566"E-697.98'; S57°35'23"E-296.14'; S65°12'33"E-119.60' to the centerline of Big Creek Ditch; thence with the meanderings with said ditch centerline as follows: S72°00'05"W-438.59'; S71°00'58"W-354.84'; S83°15'44"W-393.91' to the 1/4 Section Line; thence S88°22'54"W on the 1/4 Section Line 1131.97' to the Section Line; thence N0°02'46"W on the Section Line 16869.65' to the point of beginning proper, containing 48.16 acres, more or less, subject to all rights of way and easements for record.

Monuments are found or set as noted on the plat of survey hereon.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
