RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH ARKOMA PLAYGROUND & SUPPLY, LLC FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PLAYGROUND, SPRAYGROUND AND BANKSHOT BASKETBALL AT THE ROTARY CENTENNIAL PARK, CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK UNDER THE 2004 STATE OF ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND TOURISM PROGRAM GRANT

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro advertised and received bids for the construction of Playground, Sprayground and Bankshot Basketball Improvements at Rotary Park at Craighead Forest Park on July 21, 2004 for the 2004 Parks Grant Project with the State of Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism; and
WHEREAS, the low bid of $439,999.54 was submitted by Arkoma Playground & Supply, LLC, which was checked by Steve Kent, City Purchasing Agent and Ken Stacks, Architect; and
WHEREAS, the Public Service Committee recommended on July 27, 2004 approval of awarding a contract to the low bidder for $439,999.54.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
THAT, the low bid be accepted and further agreed to the contract price of $439,999.54 with Arkoma Playground & Supply, LLC, as set out in the documents attached hereto, and is hereby approved; and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the contract.
