BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Be Amended as Recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:

 

From Agricultural AG-1 To Industrial I-1 the   following  described  property:

                                          

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

 

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows: commence at the Southwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 25;   thence North 858.8 feet; thence N. 88°50' E. 12.0 feet to the point of beginning.  thence North 455.75 feet; thence N. 88°25'24" E. 1302.47 feet ; thence South 1018.25 feet; thence South 88°50' W. 764.4 feet; thence North 560.0 feet; thence South 88°50' W. 558.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 25.48 acres , more or less.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract(s) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
