AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A 1988 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO (NOTE: THIS ORDINANCE WAS AMENDED BY RES-88:1667 ON FEBRUARY 15, 1988)

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby adopts a 1988 Budget in the amount of $6,675,244.00.
SECTION 2: The said budget includes all expenditures, personnel costs, operational costs, equipment, maintenance, repairs and holiday pay for all agents, servants and employees of the City of Jonesboro, including but not limited to uniform employees as provided for by the laws of the State of Arkansas, and all other necessary expenditures to continue service of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
SECTION 3: In addition to the amount in Section 1, this Ordinance includes the provision of City Council Resolution No. 1986-17 and allows for the first 55% of sales tax collected through October, 1988, to be paid to the Northeast Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Disposal Authority. Such payments shall be made on a monthly basis after receipt from the State of Arkansas.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effects from and after its passage and approval.
