Minutes for the recessed Council meeting on May 10, 1968

The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Ark., met in recessed session in City Hall, Friday night, May 10, 1968, at 6:30 p.m. There were present: Mayor, City Clerk and the following named Councilmen: Pierce, Turner, Bennett, Ledbetter, Darling, Stricklin, Minx, Pardew, Copeland and Johnson. Absent: City Attorney, Young and Knight.
After bids were opened for seal coating City streets, Mr. Pardew moved with Mr. Stricklin seconding the motion to accept the bid of Barnett Construction Company, at a cost of 20 cents a square yard. The streets to be done are the recommended ones made by the Street Committee, with the exception of Allen, Bridge to Church.
There being no further business, Council voted unanimously to adjourn.
