AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3600, ADOPTING THE 2006 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO AND THE CITY PAY PLAN

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 3600 adopted the annual budget for the City of Jonesboro which included funding for one Director of Human Resources, one Human Resources Technician, one Administrative Secretary, and two part-time receptionist positions in the Human Resources Department; and
WHEREAS, due to the workload of the Human Resources Department, the position of Administrative Secretary has evolved into performing all the job functions of a Human Resources Technician;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the recommendations of the finance committee be adopted as follows:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro Pay Plan shall be changed to eliminate one Administrative Secretary in the Human Resources Department and include two Human Resources Technicians.
SECTION 2: The 2006 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro is amended by the addition of one Human Resources Technician and is funded by the following appropriations to the specified line item accounts.
Line item 01-0113-0201-00 $ 2,570.01 Base Pay
Line item 01-0113-0202-00 $ 109.12 Holiday Pay
Line item 01-0113-0206-00 $ 159.34 Social Security
Line item 01-0113-0284-00 $ 37.27 FICA
