A RESOLUTON APPROVING THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO PARTICIPATE UNDER THE DEPARMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, SAMHSA GRANT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas seeks to develop the Craighead County Connections for Kids through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Initiative; and

 

WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain the funds necessary to implement a system of care program serving children and their families of Craighead County, primarily ages 5-18 with mental health services; and

 

WHEREAS, this governing body understands the grantee and grantor will enter into a binding agreement which obligates both parties to assurances as required under the Department of Health and Human Services Program.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, THAT, the Mayor and City Clerk is hereby authorized to make application and sign assurances to the United States Department of Health and Human Services for grant assistance to develop cooperative agreements for the comprehensive community mental health services program for Craighead County children and families.
