RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF AN ALLEY RUNNING NORTH FROM MAIN STREET

That the 3rd day of December is hereby fixed as the day for the hearing upon the petition of Juanita Latourette, Ruben Griffin, Virginia Griffin, Mrs. L. Reese, H.S. Lane, Ms. Virginia Laird praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Nettleton Station, Ark.:
An alley running north from Main Street of Nettleton Station, Jonesboro, Ark., a distance of approximately 100 feet bounded on the east by Lots 4, 3, 2, 1 and on the west by Lot 5, all of Howard's Addition to the City of Jonesboro; then turning west a distance of approximately 352 feet and bounded on the south by Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and on the north by Frisco Street and ending at Watt Street, all in Howard's Addition to the City of Jonesboro, formerly the town of Nettleton, Ark., platted and filed for record in Deed record 10, page 390, at the office of the County Recorder, Jonesboro, Ark.
The City Clerk hereby is directed to give notice of the time and hearing of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, Ark., and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro. The notice shall state the name of the property owners who signed the petition, the name of the alley, or parts thereof, to be vacated and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers and the notice shall advise all persons that on the 3rd day of December, 1966, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
