AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SAFEWAY PROJECT TO COME FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT RESERVES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: The City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $870,000.00 dollars to be added to the $750,000.00 dollars in the capital improvement line item for a total of $1,620,000.00 awarded for the total expenditure.
SECTION 2: The above expenditure shall be used for the renovation of the Safeway Project.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
