RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON AN ALLEY BETWEEN HUNTINGTON AVENUE AND KREWSON STREET

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
That the 4th day of September, 1973, is hereby given as the day for the hearing upon the petition of the abutting property owners for the abandonment and vacating of the following described alley in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
An alley 15 feet in width running from the East side of Sharp Street East 200 feet to a 14 feet alley which runs North and South between Huntington Avenue and Krewson Avenue in Block 3 of Krewson’s Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and being a part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 14 North, Range 4 East.
Platted and filed for record in the Recorder’s Office at Jonesboro, Arkansas, in Surveyor’s Record 9 at page 93.
The City Clerk hereby is directed to give Notice of the time and hearing of said meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas. The Notice shall state the names of the persons who signed the petition, the name of the alley, or parts thereof, to be vacated, and shall identify same by the abutting lot and block numbers, and the Notice shall advise all persons that on the 4th day of September, 1973, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described alley shall be vacated.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of August, 1973.
