A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT RENEWAL WITH SCS FIELD SERVICES FOR GAS COLLECTION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS (GCCS) OPERATIONS, MONITORING, AND MAINTENANCE (OM&M) SERVICES

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has entered in to a contract for the gas collection and control systems (GCCS) operations, monitoring, and maintenance (OM&M) services dated February 23, 2009;
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro renewed the contract with SCS Field Services with a 5% increase for 2010;
WHEREAS, SCS Field Services stated a base price of $32,800.00 plus expenses for the gas collection and control systems (GCCS) operations, monitoring, and maintenance (OM&M) services, with no increase for 2011. The total figure for 2011 will be the same as 2010 for a total of $34,440.00.
WHEREAS, the funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the Sanitation Department Professional Services line item and compensation will be provided monthly until completion of the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. The City of Jonesboro shall renew a contract with SCS Field Services for the cost of $34,440.00 plus expenses for gas collection and control systems (GCCS) operations, monitoring, and maintenance (OM&M) services for 2011.
Section 2. The funding for the execution of the contract shall come from the Sanitation Department Professional Services line item and compensation will be provided monthly until completion of the project.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this extension.
