A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CITY SALARY & ADMINISTRATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO ADJUST THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE CITY SURVEYOR POSITION IN THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, Resolution Number 09:201 adopted the City Salary & Administration Plan;
WHEREAS, the position of City Surveyor is included in the City Salary & Administration Plan at a grade 116 with a salary range of $36,529 - $45,662 - $54,795;
WHEREAS, this salary range is not consistent with the current marketplace for professional surveyors in the State of Arkansas or in the Jonesboro area, and does not take into account the professional license required to perform this job;
WHERAS, a salary range of $54,209 - $61,256 - $65,988 is consistent with the salaries of licensed, professional surveyors working in state government doing similar work to that of the City Surveyor.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: The City Salary & Administration Plan is amended to include a salary range of $54,209 - $61,256 - $65,988 for the City Surveyor in the Engineering Department.
