September 20, 2005
The meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m. by Councilman McCall. Member present were: Tim McCall, Chris Moore and Cecil Province. Others in attendance were City Clerk Donna Jackson. Councilman Alec Farmer was unable to attend.
AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Province to place the minutes from the special City Council meeting on Friday, September 16, 2005, on the agenda for September 20, 2005. All voted aye.
Ms. Suzanne Hackney explained there is nothing in the non-uniform benefits pension plan for a beneficiary of an active employee who was active when they passed away. The Finance committee did approve the ordinance. Councilman Perrin reiterated that the insurance is for non-uniform, vested employees. Ms. Hackney informed the committee it would affect approximately 104 employees, not including elected officials. Councilman Province moved, seconded by Councilman Moore to place an ordinance to amend the 2005 budget to purchase life insurance for non-uniform, vested employees on the agenda for September 20, 2005. All voted aye.
Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Province to place an ordinance to waive competitive bidding and authorize purchase of a smoke trailer on the agenda for September 20, 2005. All voted aye.

With no further business, Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Province for adjournment. All voted aye.
