RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR A TEMPORARY DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN THE VICINITY OF NETTLETON AND FRANKLIN STREET

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro is in need of a drainage easement in the vicinity of Nettleton and Franklin Street in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, Roy Cooper is the owner of said property.  Mr. Cooper has agreed to grant a temporary drainage easement owned in that vicinity contingent upon City of Jonesboro completing drainage work in the vicinity of Stadium Blvd. and Ole Feed House Road. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.  That the City of Jonesboro enter into a contract with Roy Cooper whereby the City of Jonesboro will complete the drainage work in the vicinity of Stadium Blvd. And Ole Feed House Road in return for a temporary drainage easement on Nettleton and Franklin Street on approximately 15 acres owned by Mr. Cooper.

2.  That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into such documents as are necessary to effectuate the terms of this Contract.
