A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FREE UTILITIES AT CITY CEMETERIES, JOE MACK CAMPBELL PARK, AND CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro owns and maintains four city cemeteries, Joe Mack Campbell Park, and Craighead Forest Park
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is requesting the City, Water and Light Plant of Jonesboro provide free utilities at the following locations:
Joe Mack Campbell Park - 603 and 605 CWL Drive
Craighead Forest Park - 503 Rotary Way
Oaklawn Cemetery - 2349 West Matthews
City Cemetery - 504 E. Matthews
Knights of Pythias Cemetery - 1301 Strawfloor Road
Nettleton Cemetery - 311 Airport Road
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City, Water and Light Plant of Jonesboro be requested by this resolution to provide free utilities to the locations listed above.
SECTION 2: To permit such service to be provided without charge, the City of Jonesboro hereby affirms to City, Water and Light that the ultimate use of CW & L utilities so provided is now and shall remain a use or purpose which the city is engaged in as part of its governmental or proprietary functions under authority to it by state law.
