CITY COUNCIL AGENDA - SEPTEMBER 20, 1993

1. Call to order by Mayor at 7:30 p.m.

2. Roll call by Clerk

3. Approval of minutes from September 7, 1993, as mailed

· Presentation by Mr. Ken Stacks regarding the Safeway Building.
· Dr. Larry E. Rogers Sr. to address the City Council regarding the Civil Service Commissioners and the responsibilities of the City Council
· Rhonny McDaniel to address the City Council regarding appointments of the Civil Service Commission and memos which have changed Police job benefits.

4. City Attorney:

(A) 1st reading - Ordinance establishing the method of payment of assessed benefits and other matters for Farm Creek Subdivision Road Improvement District No. Five (Mike Cone)

(B) 1st reading - Ordinance rezoning property from Residential One (R-1) to Residential Two (R-2), located at the Northwest Intersection of Greensboro Road at Scott Street. (Wilson Cox)

(C) 2nd reading - Ordinance to vacate and the abandon a street easement in the Highland Forest Subdivision (Jim Burton\Jerry Craft)

(D) 2nd reading - Ordinance to establish a curfew applicable to juveniles and regulating their presence on public streets.

(E) 3rd reading - Ordinance to improve the traffic flow in the City of Jonesboro by removing un-necessary multi-way stop intersections.

5. Decision regarding the Corp. of Engineers Drainage Project.

6. Resolution to establish a public hearing to vacate and abandon Martinbrook Drive located in Windover Heights. (Clay Kenward/Hillpoint Dev. Corp.)

7. Resolution requesting City Water and Light to provide lighting at the public Nettleton Tennis Courts, located at 4111 Paradise Street.
