A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SELL PROPERTY KNOWN AS WINTER WONDERLAND LOCATED AT 231 S. MAIN STREET

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to sell the property known as Winter Wonderland located at 231 S. Main Street;

WHEREAS, the property known as Winter Wonderland located at 231 S. Main Street is surplus property;

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received a bonafide offer from Ted Herget who desires to purchase the property located at 231 S. Main Street , owned by the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas begin more particularly described as follows:

Lots 8 and 9 of the Thorns Main Street Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas being a part of Northeast Quarter of Southwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 14 North, Range 4 East

WHEREAS, the Building and Facilities Committee recommended approval of this sale November 18, 2010.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the documents necessary to complete this transaction and accept the purchase price of $103,750.00 due and payable at the time of closing. The City of Jonesboro shall furnish a Warranty Deed upon closing.
