A RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTRACT WITH FLOOD PLAIN SERVICES OF SEARCY ARKANSAS TO OBTAIN A THIRD PARTY RECOMMENDATION FOR THE RESOLUTION OF THE QUESTION OF DETENTION FOR THE KOHL'S SITE ON FAIR PARK BLVD IN JONESBORO ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is of the opinion improvements to said kohl's site will cause increased runoff of stormwater and should be detained and discharged at pre-development rates and:
WHEREAS, BA Engineering, Engineer for Developer of said site, contends detention will increase post development discharges because of peak flows occurring at the same time and:
WHEREAS, BA Engineering suggested Flood Plaid Services as a third party to resolve the question to detain or not.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas shall participate in said contract with Flood Plain Services in the amount of 50% of fees of Flood Plain Services not to exceed $2,500.00
SECTION 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
