RESOLUTION GRANTING WORK TO BE DONE IN DRAINAGE DISTRICTS NO. 20 AND 33 DUE TO THE RECENT NATURAL DISASTER

WHEREAS, Drainage District No. 20 of Craighead County and Drainage District No. 33, both districts duly acting through their board of commissioners, by Resolution dated May 30, 1973, have given to the City of Jonesboro, its employees, agents, contractors and assigns the rights to enter that portion of right-of-way of said Drainage Districts, No. 20 and 33, consisting of all ditches and laterals of the district’s system for the purpose of clean-up operations following the recent natural catastrophe;

 

WHEREAS, said Drainage Districts, No. 20 and 33, hereby hold the City of Jonesboro, its employees, agents, contractors and assigns free of any claim for damages to third parties growing out of the work of the catastrophe.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that said City does hereby grant, evidence a grant and furnishing and making available to the US Corps of Engineers, its contractors and assigns, the right to enter that portion of the right-of-way of Drainage Districts No. 20 and 33 consisting of all ditches and laterals of the district’s system for purpose of cleanup contemplated; and the City of Jonesboro shall hold the US Corps of Engineers, its contractors and assigns free of any claim for damage to third parties growing out of work of any claim for damage to third parties growing out of work of cleanup contemplated.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June, 1973.
