AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2004 ANNUAL BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO BY THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FIRE LADDER TRUCK

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to purchase a 2004 pierce enforcer 75 foot hd ladder truck for use by the Jonesboro Fire Department, and

WHEREAS, the low bid purchase price for the truck is $458,777, and the amount of available funds toward the purchase price is $45,424, such funds being identified as unspent hazmat truck insurance recovery funds,

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

SECTION 1: The 2004 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro, adopted as Ordinance Number 3450 on December 15^th, 2003, is amended by the appropriation of $413,353 from the unappropriated balance of the general fund for the remainder of funds required to purchase the pierce ladder truck.

SECTION 2: This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of public peace, health, and safety shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
