AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the zoning ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classification as follows:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Craighead County, Arkansas being more particularly described as follows:
Begin at the Southwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 14 North, Range 3 East, Thence North 0°05'00" West 217.70 feet to the Point of Beginning Proper; thence continue North0°05'00" West 662.90 feet to the South Right of Way line of West Washington Avenue; Thence along said right-of-way line as follows: North 88°45'00" East 207.10 feet, North 86°44'00" East 199.80 feet, North 88°49'00" East 207.60 feet; thence South 0°07'00" West 609.80 feet; thence South 47°58'00" West 91.70 feet; Thence South 88°45'00" West 543.80 feet to the Point of Beginning proper, containing 9.33 acres.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract of land described above in the ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace health and safety shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
