RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL CONTRACT WITH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGACBUY) AND THE CITY OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro desires to purchase vehicles and equipment through state bid procedures to insured the lowest price for said vehicles and equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGACBUY) complies with state bidding procedures.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
The City of Jonesboro shall enter into a contract with the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGACBUY) to authorize purchase of vehicles and equipment under HGACBUY's process, in compliance with state bidding procedures.
That Mayor Harold Perrin and the City Clerk, Donna Jackson, are hereby authorized to execute such contracts as are necessary to effectuate this agreement. A copy of the proposed Interlocal Contract for Cooperative Purchasing is attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
